LiveRC.com > About Us
LiveRC.com is a website dedicated to promoting the hobby of radio control car racing and helping the hobby grow. LiveRC.com is owned and maintained by Brandon Rohde, and was originally started way back in 1997 as "RC Pix & Flix." Since then, the website has undergone a number of name changes as the focus of the site shifted. In 1999, "RC Pix & Flix" changed its name to "RC-Cars.net" and had its first domain name. In 2001, RC-Cars.net was able to acquire the coveted domain name "RCCars.com" and changed its name accordingly. The year 2005, however, saw what would be the biggest change in the website and one of the biggest innovations in the R/C industry, as LiveRC was born. LiveRC.com was a division of RCCars.com, although it soon became the most popular section of our website. In early 2009, the decision was made to sell the domain name RCCars.com and focus solely on LiveRC.com, which is what you see today. As LiveRC.com moves forward into the future, a list of upcoming features and sections is bigger than ever. Make sure to come back often as we have a lot of exciting things to come!
