HoBao Racing is a Taiwanese manufacturer best known for its Hyper line of 1/8-scale buggies, and the lineup is marketed in the U.S. under the name of importer OFNA. Though the brand has produced a 2WD buggy, touring cars, one of the original 4WD short course trucks, and a few other vehicles (even a 1/8-scale sprint car), HoBao is probably best known for its many 1/8-scale RTR buggies. At the height of HoBao's racing program back in the mid-2000s they sponsored racers like Robert Batlle, Josh Wheeler, and Yannick Aigoin, who raced the Hyper 7 platform to international success. The follow-up Hyper 8 and Hyper 9 buggies, while competitive, never quite reached the success of the Hyper 7.
Earlier today, HoBao's official Facebook account (which is operated as a personal page, rather than a "Likeable" business page) posted a teaser image for their first all-new off-road racer in several years, called the Hyper VS. No other information on the upcoming 1/8-scale nitro buggy is available yet.
