Two-time European Champion David Ronnefalk grew tired of the four-hour round trip to the nearest indoor electric off-road track in Sweden, so he built his own.
With the help of his grandfather, Ronnefalk built a carpeted off-road track in Ronneby, Sweden to log practice laps in preparation for large events. Construction took two weeks, and other drivers may visit the track when David is there or by making prior arrangements with him. He posted a video of the first practice laps to his Facebook page yesterday with the following message:
"It has been a while since my last update here on the page, the reason why will you find in the video below!
Having about 2h by car to the closest indoor track is too much when you want to go practice 2-3 times a week. But it is not only that, during the period we have snow here, the roads are very slick and anything can happen when you least expect it to do.
Therefore I have been planning a while to make my own indoor test track, the result of this project is in the video below as I run my first few laps on the track. I have spent countless of hours there the past 2 weeks as I have been there every day but now it is finally finished! It is basically just me and my grandpa that has been there working and now the last two days I got some more help to finish everything!
I'm very happy with how everything came out and I'm proud to say I have built probably the best but at least one of the best tracks in Sweden!!!!
