New Axial SCX10 II launched at private owners party [VIDEO]

Casey Currie Motorsports in Corona, CA hosted SCX10 owners for a private party last night, and Axial chose the occasion as the perfect time to unveil its new SCX10 II platform - a substantial overhaul of the popular trail and scale rig.

Shapeways designer James Knight of Knight Customs was among the dozens in attendance, and he posted photos and details of the new SCX10 II from the slideshow presentation to the Knight Customs Facebook page:

• Revised steel chassis
• Chassis mounted servo
• Chassis mounted servo winch option
• Forward mount battery
• New scale transmission with 2speed option
• New super scale axles 
• Improved steering geometry
• Universals stock
• Backward compatible to the original SCX10.
• New body with scale grill, roof rack bumpers and more.
• New front and rear bumpers
• New tires and wheels.
