Eight months ago Dallas Texas native and RC enthusiast Mark Santa Maria realized there was a large disconnect within the RC community in his area. Racers in his community were segregated in groups, uninformed of races, and even uninformed of local tracks. Mark decided it was time to bring the RC community together and teamed up with pro driver Geoff Arnold to startup a podcast called RC Texas Talk.

“The community needed something to bring us together. One of the most fun parts of being at races or playing with RC in general is telling stories and discussing the hobby we love. Geoff and I would talk and crack up for hours about races. One morning after a club race Geoff called me and, before he finished his first story, I cut him off. I rushed over to his house, threw my phone in the middle of the table, and started recording.” - Mark Santa Maria

The first episode of RC Texas Talk had over 300 listens in 2 days. Since then RC Texas Talk has been listened to over 6500 times, all over the United States, and in over 30 countries throughout the world. More importantly, the Texas RC community is a whole. Attendances at races in the area dramatically increased as well as several new faces.

In an effort to expand this movement, RCTT recently rebranded themselves as “On The Tone” and teamed up with pro driver and Team Associated regional manager Tyler Keel.

With Mark, Geoff, and Tyler, “On The Tone” is more entertaining than ever. They have several great segments including race results, classifieds, and “TQ Trivia” (a game show where call-in listeners compete to win prizes). The show also picked up some great sponsors including newly owned Indy RC World in Garland TX, newly developed Oklahoma RC Hobbies in Oklahoma City, and Texas RC painter Loud Mouth Lids.
