Join us for the 4th annual Pit Stop Hobbies Summer Extravaganza & charity Paint Off Competition on August 18th-20th. This event has a carnival feeling to it with awesome food, games, a charity paint off competition, and of course some great RC Racing. Over the past two years we were able to raise over $1560 for a local charity. This year we'll be donating to The Childrens Miracle Network. Let's raise the bar this year!

About the track and facilities:

Our racing surface is mainly clay material and the new dimensions are approximately 85' x 125'.The driver's stand is approximately 20' long with a handicap ramp and kick-out for those racing with us that need it. There is an onsite hobby shop, water, port-o-potty, and electric. Please bring your own table, chair, pop up canopy, extension cords, etc.

We use the newest MyLaps RC4 Decoder and Livetime scoring Software. Please be sure your personal transponder is RC4 compatible. We have rental transponders in the hobby shop for an additional cost of $5 ea for the day.

There will be limited parking near the hobby shop and on-street parking as well as some parking behind the race track (or parking lot) so please try to carpool if possible.

$15 each additional class

Race Program:

Free bag of Cotton Candy with your first race entry
Awards for Top 3 A-main finishers and TQ in each class
120 Entry Limit
Three rounds of qualifying
Top Qualfier will be calculated by the fastest qualifer of the day for each class
Triple 5min A-mains
Double 5min Lower Mains
2 bump ups from round 1 of the mains.
Qualifying points for the mains
Marshalling Duties will be immediately after your race

Other Events:

RC Long Jump Contest - This is open to any 1/10th scale or 1/8th scale vehicle. You will get 3 attempts to acheive the longest jump. The cost is $10 and the winners will get 1/2 of the pot. The other half will be donated to CMN.

RC Balloon Pop Race - A balloon is tapped to the rear of your vehicle. The person who completes the most laps in 5 minutes with their balloon left intact is the winner. Once your balloon pops you're then free to try to pop others balloons. The cost is $10 and the winners will get 1/2 of their heats pot. The other half will be donated to CMN.

Scaler Tug of War - 1/10th scale scaller tug of war. Classic tug of war between two competitors. First one to pull their opponent across the line wins. The cost is $10 and the winner will get 1/2 of the pot. The other half will be donated to CMN.

RC Tandem Race - One race controls the steering while the other controls the throttle/brake. This will take good communication, teamwork, and a great deal of luck. This is open to any 2wd 1/10th scale rc vehicle. The cost is $10 and the winners will get 1/2 of their heats pot. The other half will be donated to CMN.

Airbrush Demo - Come check out an airbrush artist at work. They will show how they create such wonderful creations and the work that goes into it.

Charity Paint Off Competition - RC Artists from across the country will submit their entries to help raise some funds for a local charity and hoping to take home either the "People's Choice" or "Most Wanted" awards. Each entry will also be raffled off during the event. The "People's Choice" winner will be chosen by the people. People will drop quarters into each entries bucket then at the end of the night the entry with the most quarters wins.

The "Most Wanted" winner will be chosen by the entry that has the highest number of raffle tickets at the end of the night.
