Today, the Northwest Championship Tour (NCT), a premier organization of outdoor off- road RC racing events in Washington, Oregon & Idaho within the United States, announced a management change ahead of their 15th Anniversary season. Newly named President Mike Dana said, “I'm super excited and honored to be back at the helm of the Northwest Championship Tour. While I've been in this position before as the series founder, Justin Wilde left huge shoes to fill as he did an incredible job over the past 8 years as the series Director. We have lots of work to do in very short order, but I have the utmost confidence in my newly appointed team of Randy Sides as my VP – Marketing & Public Relations & Jason Walters as my Media & Public Relations Manager to support the racers of the series, the individual tracks that host the races and showcase to the world what outdoor off-road racing in the Northwest is all about.” The 2018 NCT Management Team consists of:

Media & Public Relations Manager - Jason Walters

Having raced RC since starting in 1991 with his dad in Marysville Washington, Jason can always be found promoting a positive vibe on social media and track side. Jason has proved time and again he is a true asset to the series and will continue his work capturing the stories of the NCT. When asked about his thoughts on the 2018 season "We have a solid challenge ahead of us. 2017 was a year for the record books and I am looking forward to a great year track side with great friends."

Vice President-Marketing & Partner Relations - Randy Sides

While new to the RC event management role, Randy Sides is a successful entrepreneur with both plumbing and hobby businesses. Randy knows how to get the job done start to finish and has a knack for building strong bonds with customers. With the 2018 season just days away Randy had this to say about his new role "While I’ve spent years both full sized drag and RC racing with my wife Heather and two boys Garrett & Evan, this is my first exposure to RC race management. In the very short time I’ve been in this role I’ve enjoyed getting to know our great series sponsors and look forward to working with them this year promoting and growing NW RC racing.”

President - Mike Dana

Mike Dana is no stranger to anyone racing on the West Coast. He started his RC race career in 2000, founded the NCT in 2003 and began competing in national level events at the DNC in 2004. With a professional background of over 20 years in sales and technical engineering roles within the military and medical electronics markets he brings strong organizational, analytical and marketing skills to the NCT.

With classes for both 1:10 & 1:8 chassis, the NCT has six events scheduled for 2018 starting in less than 2-weeks’ time:

  • April 20-22 Pasco, Washington
  • May 25-27 Spokane, Washington
  • June 22-24 Lewiston, Idaho
  • July 20-22 Walla Walla, Washington
  • August 17-19 Burlington, Washington
  • September 21-23 Yakima, Washington
