The 'Colorado-Connection' will remain intact under the
umbrella of Team Losi Racing, LiveRC.com has learned.
The two ROAR Nats A-main finalists have confirmed they have re-signed with TLR
for the upcoming race season.
With TLR poised to gain a lot more attention with the
release of their forthcoming 2WD buggy, and with the national R/C scene
seemingly swaying towards electric again, the two ‘e-specialists’ will look to
make themselves household names to folks in the industry who may not have heard
of them yet due to their lack of abundant, high-level nitro racing results.
When reached for comment on the signing, the two had the following to
say:
"I look forward to continuing the great relationship I have with my
teammates and all the people behind the scenes at TLR." -Matt Chambers
"TLR has supported me from the get-go...and with such great people involved, I am really looking forward to the 2011 season." -Dustin Evans
As you may remember, Chambers and Evans were the first two drivers to publicly
debut the brand-new TLR '22' last December. It wasn't expected that the drivers
would leave TLR, especially after being the first to get the keys to a
brand-new rig. However, in this day and age, nothing is for certain until it is
in writing...and now it is.
Chambers and Evans should play a big part in Losi's attack on the electric
scene this year. Along with the unexpected launching of an all-new electric
buggy, Losi also re-branded its racing division (TLR) in an effort to showcase
that the company has not forgotten its extensive racing history and the ideology
that the company was founded on.
As hard-core electric racers, Chambers and Evans fit the image that TLR is
trying to portray perfectly, and we wish them nothing but the best in 2011.
