Alan was a well known figure in the industry as a Hot Bodies Driver, the sad news of his passing has hit the industry by shock. Many of his Facebook friends and fellow racers stopped by to pay their respects on his wall. Below is a press release from a local news source about the incident. Tuesday's roll-over wreck in the mountains bordering the Cajon Pass north of Devore killed a 21-year-old Colton man, San Bernardino County coroner's officials say.
Alan R. Delgado died at the scene of the incident that was reported at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday along Cleghorn Ridge Off-Road Vehicle Road, also known as 2N47, in the San Bernardino National Forest southeast of Interstate 15 and Highway 138.
Delgado apparently was driving north along the fire road when he veered off the roadway and plunged into a ravine.
California Highway Patrol officers are investigating.
