*Class Rules:*
Rookie 2wd: Any 1/10 scale 2wd Buggy, Stadium Truck, or SC.
Rookie 4wd: Any 1/10 scale 4wd Buggy, Stadium Truck, or SC.
2wd SC Buggy: Any 1/10 scale 2wd SC buggy, no motor limit, 2S battery
limit.
2wd Buggy Stock: Any ROAR approved 17.5 brushless motor; ESC must be in “blinky mode,” 2S battery limit.
2wd Truck Super Stock: Any ROAR approved 13.5 brushless motor; ESC must be in “blinky mode,” 2S battery limit.
2wd SC Super Stock: Any ROAR approved 13.5 brushless motor; ESC must be in “blinky mode,” 2S battery limit.
2wd Buggy, Truck, and SC Modified: Any ROAR approved 540 motor, 2S battery limit.
4wd Buggy Modified: Any ROAR approved 540 motor, 2S battery limit.
4wd SC Sportsman/ Expert: Any 540 or 550 motor, 2S battery limit.
1/8 E-Buggy: 4S battery limit.
1/8 E-Buggy Lite: 2S battery limit.
*All classes (excluding Rookie 2wd/4wd) will be subject to a pre-tech,
and/or post-tech.
ROAR weight and dimensions
Battery voltage/ 2S= 8.40, 4S= 16.80
Motor/ ESC inspection
Factory made or tires altered into slicks are not permitted.
*If you fail a pre-tech you will have the opportunity to correct the issue and go through tech again before your race. If you fail a post-tech your round will not count. Any driver racing in a spec class that is found to be using a motor that is not ROAR legal, that contains an oversized rotor/ stator, or any other non-ROAR approved modification (ex. Bearing upgrade) will be disqualified.*
*CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.*
Gun Smoke Race Format
*Practice*/ Friday, November 14th: Doors will be open practice from 10AM until 8:30PM. Track will then close for maintenance. Pits will remain open until 10PM.
*Qualifying*/ Saturday, November 15th: Doors will open at 7AM, controlled practice will be ran until 8:30AM. Track will close for maintenance and a drivers meeting will begin at 8:45AM. Qualifying will begin at approximately 9:30AM. Three 5 minute rounds of IFMAR qualifying will be run utilizing Qual-Points. 10 car field maximum.
*Main Events*/ Sunday, November 16th: Doors will open at 8AM, first main event will start at 9AM. We will be racing a Triple A-Main format, with bumps-ups from lower mains. The top 8 drivers in each class will be automatically placed in the A-Main. The top 2 drivers from each lower main will be bumped-up to the next main in their class. All mains will be 6 minutes long.
*Tie breaker will be the two combined qualifying times.
Gun Slinger Dual
The *“GUN SLINGER DUAL”* will be a 2wd/ 4wd Modified Buggy challenge. Racers are competing for the title of being the “2014 IERC Gun Slinger.” The overall winner will be awarded a brand new 1887 Replica Stage Coach Double Barrel Shot Gun (Name transfer will be paid for by IERC Raceway).
*Format:*
This is a separate class than 2wd & 4wd Modified buggy. This is a challenge of driver and machine... times 2.
Three 5 minute rounds of IFMAR qualifying (for both 2wd and 4wd) will be run utilizing Qual-Points. The points will be combined from both 2wd and 4wd runs. The 10 drivers with the lowest number of points between both classes combined will be advanced to the finals.
There will be no bump ups, however lower main winners will be acknowledged.
Finals will be Triple A-Mains for both 2wd and 4wd. Again the points will be combined after all mains have been run. The racer with the lowest number of points will be crowned the *2014 IERC Gun Slinger. *All mains will be 6 minutes long.
*Tie breaker will be the fastest two combined qualifying times.*
Hot Shot Shootout
The “*Hot Shot Shootout*” will be a 2wd 17.5 buggy challenge presented by AKA Racing. The top 10 in this class will be receiving custom trophies provided by AKA Racing. Top 3 in each main down to the D-Main will get plaques (Excluding Bump-Ups).
Young Guns
The “*Young Guns*” class will be a 2wd 17.5 challenge for those racers that are 16 years of age and younger. The same rules of the Hot Shot Shootout will be applied.
