As is customary procedure during each IFMAR World Championship, an official IFMAR meeting held at the completion of qualifying at the official host hotel on Thursday evening determined that the host for the 2016 200mm IC World Championships will be the A.S.D Club Automodellistic 5 Colli Miniautodromo Internazionale M. Rosati in Gubbio, Italy.

Originally built in 1982, the A.S.D Club Automodellistic 5 Colli track surface is just a few years old having been paved most recently in December 2008. With a 65 meter straightaway (213 feet) contributing to a 310-meter (1017 feet) long lap, the .12-size engines used in the 200mm IC class will have plenty of room to stretch their legs.

The facility has a separate media suite, inclusive tech area, fenced staging space, and onsite camping. There's a game area as well as a bar and restaurant as well. Perhaps the coolest feature at the track? This sliding box that allows flamed out cars to be passed back to the pit area without requiring turn marshals or mechanics to cross the straightaway!
We can't wait for another trip back to Italy!
