Now that the calendar has started over for 2015, IFMAR has released an updated rulebook for the 2015 Electric Off-Road Worlds.

Additional clarification was made in rule 1.5.1 regarding the racing format, requiring a minimum of six practice runs for both 2WD and 4WD segments. The final round of practice is to be used as controlled (or timed) practice.

Rule 1.5.5 now calls for six minute practice heats of up to 15 drivers each or a maximum of 15 heats, to be determined by the length of lap times in order to ensure at least 75 minutes of downtime between rounds.

Rule 4.2.11, which covers the controlled tires and inserts to be used for the event, now has additional text at the bottom regarding new standardized wheel dimensions for 2016.

As we covered back in December, this version of the rules includes the complete change of rules 5.1 and 5.2 back to allow for astroturf tracks and regulate the design of the layout with these courses in mind.
