From Serpent (via Facebook):
With 2003 IFMAR 2WD World Champion Billy Easton behind the controls of Serpent's electric off-road development team, the formerly nitro-on-road-only brand Serpent has already entered the 2WD buggy and 2WD short course truck classes with the Spyder SRX lineup. This new teaser image and caption posted to Facebook suggests that not only is a 4WD buggy going to be here this spring, but we could see it in action as soon as this weekend when Easton makes his return to the Reedy Race of Champions Invitational!

Here's the official release:

Serpent is about to enter the 4wd 1/10 scale buggy class with the Spyder SRX-4

The Spyder line already includes the 2wd RM and MM buggies, as well as the 2wd SCT and more versions to follow.

Billy has been intensively working on this highly innovative 4wd concept over 2014 and has been testing the car for a longer period already, on various surfaces. The project is in its final stages of testing where the last small modifications are being made and the Spyder SRX-4 proto is used in some top level racing.

You can expect to see the car on display during the German Toyfair, with final details and press introduction planned for 2nd part of February. Product release for sales is expected in the late part of March, or early April.

We would love to release the SRX-4 even earlier and answer to the big demand we face already, but we force ourselves to finish the test-program fully and make sure the new car will live up to your high expectations!
