From Yokomo:

In a twist of post-silly season fate, three-time former ISTC and current 1/12-scale World Champion Marc Rheinard has signed with Team Yokomo for off-road racing. The move is an intriguing one since Rheinard was joined at Tamiya Racing Factory for the touring car class by long-time rival Naoto Matsukura, who left Yokomo prior to the 2015 season and also signed with Kyosho for off-road. Rheinard will team up with Lee Martin, the 2013 Worlds podium finisher who too left Tamiya to sign with Yokomo.

What makes the sudden development even more intriguing is the expectation that Tamiya will show off its new TRF211XM 2WD buggy at the Shizouka Hobby Show in just two weeks. The TRF211XM will compliment the TRF503 4WD buggy.

According to the story first reported by Neobuggy, Yokomo hopes that Rheinard will "challenge for a new era of the victories at 1/10 EP off road 2wd and 4wd category in combination with current Team Yokomo ace driver, Lee Martin.”

The article also included the following statement from Marc: "I would like to thank Team Yokomo to give me the opportunity to use 2wd and 4wd Buggy for the next years including the WC in Japan and EC in England and also the EOS races. It’s also nice to be a teammate with Lee Martin again. I think we will achieve some great results in the next races. One more time thanks to all the people at Yokomo to let me on board to the off-road team!"
