In 1993, Brian Kinwald drove a Team Associated RC10 to his first of two IFMAR world championships in Basildon, England. The following year, the RC10 Worlds Car was released to celebrate the victory - but there was no way of knowing that it would spark a tradition of commemorative special edition kits that manufacturers have continued for more than 20 years!

That first black-chassis RC10 was a favorite among early era off-road racers and won championships all around the world, so it was a no-brainer decision for Team Associated to re-release the kit last year as the second of its old-school revamps - modifying certain items on the car to cope with today's electronics, as well as protect the collectability of original 90s-era parts and kits.

Collectors and nostalgic enthusiasts have been snatching up the RC10 World's Car remakes in droves, and even racing them around the world, but they've never had an opportunity to purchase a piece of history quite like this one. Kinwald himself is auctioning off a World's Car that he built and prepared by hand, using many of the tricks he performed on his own racing ride decades ago. He even painted the body and outlined the design in sharpie to mimic his old-school paint job depicted on the box! The built car will be sold as the rolling chassis, awaiting your choice of electronics, but will also include a riveted placard in case the winning bidder designs to park it on the shelf.
