Everybody knows that Friday is meant for reminiscing old times. Each week we take you back in time as we flashback to some of R/C racing's greatest moments, products, drivers, and more!

Flashback: 2009
Richard "The King" Saxton sets world record R/C car jump

Richard Saxton has been known as "The King" or "King Richard" since the beginning of time. Saxton started his racing career as one of the fastest minibike motocross racers in the world as a kid. He then became among one of the fastest R/C car racers in the world years later. While "The King" is known for his racing success, he is also known for setting records off the race track.

In 2009, Richard Saxton piloted his Team Associated RC8B buggy to world record R/C car jump during one of the Lucas Oil Offroad Championship events. Saxton set sail off the mighty freestyle motocross ramp sending the 1:8 buggy 137ft in distance, landing it on its wheels, and driving away!
