We received word this past weekend that the long-anticipated "big shocks" that Associated Team Manager Brent Thielke alluded to in a video interview last December have finally made their way into the hands of a few upper-level team drivers.

The shocks look similar in design to their standard 1:10 version with, perhaps, a few styling queues taken from a Yokomo shock. Although, who knows what the guts look like.

When asked for comment, Associated said their supply is very limited at this point and that not many people would have them at the Cactus Classic. One of the drivers who has ran the shocks, Ryan Cavalieri, stated the following via text message when asked about how the shocks have performed: "So far I've learned they make it easier to put in consistent laps.  The car carries more corner speed around turns, jumps, and lands better."

One would have to assume the racing world will get a much better look at the shocks this week during the Cactus, which starts tomorrow. Stay tuned to LiveRC.com for more info as the week progresses.
