Press Release From JConcepts:

In the 1:1 monster truck world, a team could not get along without transport tires. Since the trucks cannot travel with the large 66” tires, they need smaller tires to fit on or in a trailer for suitable travel up and down the road. In the RC World, there has never been a travel tire for monster trucks, until now. JConcepts went all out creating this passion project to bring more realism to the genre that is built for looks and performance. The Transporter tire is slim in width to slide into the #3382B Tribute Transport wheel designed specifically for this application.

The tire itself features a chevron style tread, alternating bar configuration, slightly recessed lugs which slightly overlap in the center. Overlap in the center creates a nice pad for asphalt driving or any hard surface which require very little deep digging. Toward the outside of the tire, the pattern opens up and allows plenty of edgy tread territory to climb, crawl, or work through a variety of conditions. Although not monstrous, the size of the tire is still quite large to maneuver over slightly difficult terrain.

The Transporter includes a traditional open cell foam insert to support the tire compound and inner carcass. Finely detailed tire lettering has been added inside and out to complete the look, add authenticity, and include identification. Climbing the competition ladder is not easy in the world of monster trucks, however, getting there is impossible without transportation tires. JConcepts is, World Proven Innovation and Design.

Notes from the team: use transport tires and wheels to display or store racing vehicles. This will minimize flat spots on racing tires from sitting on a shelf, box or pit table. Maintain and store racing tires separately and always lay them down to avoid placing pressure or excess weight on one point of the tires with inserts inside.

Features:

  • Scaled version of transport tires
  • Chevron tread with center overlap
  • Slightly recessed tire lugs
  • Detailed sidewall lettering
  • Includes open cell insert

Transport tires in the RC monster truck world require a special wheel to meet the look and expectation of a detailed hobbyist. The Tribute Transport wheel is designed from the ground-up to be a 2-piece wheel and assembles to form a unit that can be put on display or driven with purpose. The outer section includes mock planetary portion in the center with bracketed off tabs to join the wheel bead. 12mm hex adaptors are included to bolt to the outer wheel with included M2.5x10mm hardware.

The inner wheel aligns and installs with six M2.5x12mm SHCS to the outer portion and secured with plain nuts on the outside to visually look accurate. The inner wheel contains the assembly screws which are hooped together and cleanly bracketed to the inner wheel bead. Add separately available #3189-010 Transporter tire to the wheel and place on vehicle of choice and secure with wheel nut (not included). Finalize by adding the planetary cover of choice with included and remaining hardware.

Features:

  • Scale inspired 2-piece design
  • Outer wheel incorporates several features for realism
  • Inner wheel hoop contains assembly screws and completes bead
  • 12mm hex adaptors included
  • Planetary caps included for high-end looks
  • Hardware included for assembly
