Joel Johnson and Mark Pavidis from AKA Products make the short trek to Las Vegas from the company's Murrieta headquarters for this weekend's IFMAR Worlds Warm-Up, and along with tires for the team brought along a new version of the black- and red-anodized, hand-held tire balancer.
Whereas the previous version simply pressed together, with o-rings used to hold the two halves of the unit tight on the wheel, the threaded pin of the new version can be cranked tightly in place thanks to knurled pieces that offer plenty of fingertip grip. The updated tire balancer will be released on May 13th.
