Our brand new X22 Brushless 1/10 electric competition motors are about to hit the market making it the perfect time for a little introduction.

The upcoming LRP X22 Brushless competition car motor line will be replacing the incredibly successful X20 motors. Having won 3 World Championship titles, two in Offroad and one in Onroad, multiple European Championships and countless National and ETS titles in both On- and Offroad, the X20 is almost impossible to surpass.

But our engineers set out to exactly manage that feast and were able to come up with a motor that will be once again a new benchmark when it comes to power, reliability and exceptional driving control while efficiency and maximum power could once again be pushed further.

The new X22 motors received an ultra-lightweight, precision machined 7075-T6 aluminium housing with maximised cut-outs and additional openings on the flat parts to further increase the cooling surface and lower the running temperatures due to improved airflow even at maximum loads. But the most noticeable change has been made at the surface of the housing. The X22 got an incredibly cool looking “dark shine black” highest quality anodizing with X22 engraving that will make it look outstanding in every chassis.

In order to enable an even more precise timing setting, the timing range has been precisely adjusted and optimized from 14.5° to 34.5°. Also a novelty by our engineers is the new 2017 specification, dual-axis balanced sintered rotor shaft with a longer mounting surface. The internals were updated for higher efficiency and vibration free operation while smaller dual precession 4x10x4 ABEC-5 bearings are able to provide very precise running and longevity. The new PCB board specification ensures even lower resistance. Our unique waterproof PrecisSensorTM assures precise operation with any speed control and offers additional advantage when paired with the LRP speed controller line. LRP FlowX, LRP X22 Brushless motor and the LRP GRAPHENE Competition Car Line LiPo batteries will be the benchmark competition drive system for the foreseeable future.

The X20 motor will be available in odd and even turns starting at 3.5T and going all the way up to 10.5T. These variations will gradually become available. The first batch will include the 4.5T, 5.5T, 6.5T, 7.5T and 8.5T versions. Our R&D team also has a new high-end competition Stock motor in the pipeline that will be released at a later time.
