Avid has just released their new B5/B5M shock standoffs, designed to be an upgrade from the stock Associated parts.
Avid says, "We are selling these as a pair and the B5 / B5M uses the same standoffs on the front and rear so you will need two sets for a full car. They are made of black anodized 7075 Aluminum and have a wide base to help prevent bent shock mount screws while throwing down your Ryan laps. The design maintains the original floating AE mounting system with a smooth pivoting ball to provide seamless unrestricted motion. The Delrin™ pivot bushings can be replaced to help maintain a tight fit in your shock caps. And don't forget the added visual appeal of the two machined silver rings around the base to blind your competition with. "
