The Trifecta, named after its three stabilizing fins, has a split-level design for maximum downforce with reduced drag. The small side dams are shaped for both aerodynamic effectiveness and proper tire clearance.

Hitec's first pro-level surface radio in over a decade uses 2.4 GHz AFHSS (Adaptive Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology. When used with the Hitec High Response system (HHR) capable Axion 2 receiver, the Lynx 4S achieves latency times as low as 4ms, and when combined with the Proton 4 receiver telemetry modes for rpm, voltage, temperature, and speed can be unlocked. The Lynx 4S has a 30-model memory that can be expanded to 60 models via the micro-SD memory card slot.
