News from XRAY:

XRAY released a very short email to the media last night that contained the updated header banner from their Facebook page:

All-new 2015 XRAY XB8E to be released soon. Follow XRAY for all the details.

The message was more than direct enough to communicate its point - a replacement for the XB9E is well on its way, and will be based on the already successful XB8 platform (the new one, not the XB8 from a decade ago). Don't be alarmed by the "2015" either - XRAY has already released its updated X10 on-road racer, and referred to that as a "'15" model as well.

The new XB8E is likely to retain the same adjustable flex chassis tuning option as the XB8, though we can't confirm yet if XRAY will simply convert the existing aluminum plate for electric duty. If so, it's likely that they'll have to move a few things around in order to achieve the same chassis balance so highly touted on the nitro version. The photo does make it pretty clear, though, that the XB8E will use the highly adjustable pivot-ball suspension of the nitro car that features arms that can be outfitted with stiffeners to radically change the car's handling traits.

Keep reading LiveRC for future details as they develop.
