Mitsubishi broke hearts of sports car fans around the world when they confirmed earlier this year that the Lancer Evolution series of four-wheel drive performance sedans would be replaced with a crossover-type vehicle, marking the current Evo X as the last production iteration of the World Rally Championship-winning icon.
Heading into the Evo X's final year on the assembly line, Kyosho pulled this beautiful body and clipped it to the versatile 4WD Fazer platform, with its plastic chassis suspended in this instance by a rally-ready setup that makes use of the taller treaded tires.
Power comes from the waterproof Team Orion Neon One motor and 2S speed control combo, aimed directly at the entry market, pairing a four-pole 2400 Kv motor with an included 1800mAh NiMH replenished by a wall charger. Control comes via Kyosho's KT-231 FHSS radio system and KS-204WP waterproof servo.
The stunning shell is offered in red and white versions, each complimented by One11 Ink vinyl wrap lending a racy pattern. A second pair of the sporty 11-spoke wheels is included, colored bright green and wrapped in drift tires.
Kyosho America did not immediately respond to questions if the RTR would be available in the U.S.
