JConcepts already offers a wide variety of products covering all ends of the RC spectrum, from Traxxas monster trucks to the latest generation of 2WD and 4WD racing buggies, but that range grew further with the brand’s new releases this week in Arizona. After all, what better time to introduce new racing products than at the perfect environment in which to prove them?

This new 1/8-scale truck dish wheel, called the Bullet, replaces the “Elevated” line and measures in at the maximum dimensions of ROAR’s updated rules. It will be available in yellow and white, and is accompanied by two new tires with an entirely new bead design.

The Reflex was originally intended for smoother, grooved tracks, but the JConcepts team found that it worked well here at Fear Farm R/C Raceway because it offered terrific forward grip while taming side bite, making the car easier to drive by virtue of being smoother and less tippy. In fact, this is the tire that Ryan Maifield used on his way to a third place finish in Pro Truck.

Made with large lugs that excel on rough, high-grip tracks, the Chaser was built for tracks like Fear Farm. The bead is molded to fit the new Bullet wheel, and it’s the tire that Ryan Maifield used throughout qualifying. The Chaser and Reflex both will be offered in Black, Green, Blue, and Red compounds.

The first 1/5-scale tires from JConcepts are aimed squarely at diehard racers, like those who came out to this year’s Dirt Nitro Challenge.

The Chaser and Reflex are simply scaled up versions of the 1/8-scale tires of the same name, and work best in similar environments as well.

Finally, this new tire stick for 1/8-scale buggy wheels differs from similar offerings made by other companies due to its ratcheting fastener. The adjustable width means that you can cinch the wheels down tight so that they don’t rattle around.
