Redworkshop's "Low Rider" transmission for the Team Associated B5M made such a huge step toward turning AE's latest 2WD buggy into a carpet- and turf-ready racing machine that the A-Team drivers and engineers have been testing the transmission in their own cars in preparation for the upcoming IFMAR Worlds at Yatabe Arena. The 3D-printed case flattens out the four-gear layout of the stock tranny, moving the motor further forward to radically alter the car's handling and offering a significant improvement in corner speed on ultra-high grip track surfaces.

Less than a half hour before this article was published, Redworkshop posted photos of a new item - a "Low Rid3r" transmission designed in a similar fashion but only using three gears - to their Facebook page.

The boutique brand didn't mention whether or not the new tranny had been tested yet, let alone a timeline for production.
