After going back in the right direction with a setup change and eliminating the mistakes that knocked him to eighth in Q2, Jared Tebo took his third TQ run in three tries in the third round of qualifying. He edged his closest competitor, Neil Cragg, by over a second while Ryan Cavalieri was nearly four seconds further back. Spencer Rivkin solidified a grid spot in the A-final at his first World Championships by finishing fourth, and Jörn Neumann scored his best run of the day.
