Nicholas Lee & Daryl Thong Wins PRCA Finals 2015 

The PRCA Finals 2015 race was held at the RCMC asphalt track located in Singapore with world renowned Scotty Ernst providing race commentary. Attracting drivers from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Sweden to this years’ edition of the PRCA Finals which was named as the next big race in Singapore after playing host to AOC. Notable names includes factory driver from Team XRAY’s Alexander Hagberg and Team Serpent’s Viktor Wilck. 

With the big names attending, Modified Class attracted the biggest entry of the race and was the race to watch out for. With 3 of 5 qualifying to be counted, it was very close between Top Singapore Driver Nicholas Lee (Tamiya), Alexander Hagberg and Viktor Wilck with Nicholas Lee nailing it on the TQ position with 1 qualifying round to spare with Alexander Hagberg and Viktor Wilck lining up behind him on the A-Main grid. 

It was a nail biting finals for Modified Class A-main with Alexander Hagberg putting continuous pressure on Nicholas Lee with both drivers crossing the line with less then 0.4s separating both drivers in A1 and less then 0.08s in A2, and it was TQ holder Nicholas Lee (Tamiya) who came out stronger to take the win in both A1 and A2 hence the overall Champion for Modified Class. Alexander Hagberg will have to settle for 2nd and Viktor Wilck rounding up the podium.

In the Open 13.5T Boosted Class, it was a battle between local driver Daryl Thong (Serpent) and defending champion from Japan, Masami Kiyomoto (ARC). Showing the way it is done was Daryl Thong taking the TQ spot on the grid with 2 rounds of qualifying to spare. With Masami Kiyomoto and Alan Cher (Tamiya) lining up behind for the A-main grid. 

Chasing down the for the title all the way to A3, with Daryl Thong winning A1 and Masami Kiyomoto taking A2, it was Daryl Thong that eventually take the overall win in the Open 13.5T Boosted Class at the PRCA Finals 2015. Masami Kiyomoto had to settle for 2nd with Tan Yi Ming (Awesomatix) completing the podium. 

With the Win from Nicholas Lee (Tamiya) and Daryl Thong (Serpent), they will be invited to PRCA Finals 2016 !

In the support class, TRF Challenge Class, it was Ong Chee Yong that emerges as the overall champion from strong challenge by Nelson Lee and Ng Wei Jian in all 3 finals finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
