Triton and Weatherholt take the win at the JCP RC Race!

Triton driver Collin Weatherholt reports :On November 21, I headed down to JCP RC in Indianapolis, Indiana to attend the first round of their winter nitro points series. It was my first day racing the new TLR 8ight 4.0 buggy, and I knew going in to the day that there would be some setup changes need to get the car dialed in. I felt confident knowing that my Dad and I could accomplish what we needed to do, knowing we already had the powerplant of choice with the Triton L5 engine paired with a Triton 2099 pipe. I finished 2nd overall in the first two qualifiers. Then, after a couple more tweaks before the third round, I was able to run the fastest qualifier of the day. Going into the main my confidence grew, knowing I had better fuel mileage and better tires than my immediate competition for the win. Once the main began, we battled back and forth for the 1st position. I ultimately finished in the top spot after 30 minutes of racing with Derek Weatherholt in 2nd and Brian Seitz in 3rd.
