After a short break for lunch, the excitment continues here with round 2 at Full Throttle Raceway in Kissimmee, Florida.

The GT8 class once again started with cars shuffling from the very start and the battle started to take shape between TQ Desoto, 2nd place qualifier Martinez, and A1 early leader, Steve Rossi. By lap 19, Desoto would get tangled with another car entering the chicane and unfortuantely have to retire because of the contact. Martinez would suffer a similar fate on lap 26 taking the 2 highest qualifiers out of the race making it open game for the rest of the drivers. Taking the lead was Rossi who was able to put in a very clean 20 minute run and take the win in his first ever appearance in an A final! Fighting for 2nd place, Don Jones and Otto Rosa would engage in a close battle in the finals laps with Jones edging out Rosa for 2nd.

Once the tone went off in 1/10 Nitro Sedan, Thilo Toedtmann took off like a rocket. Controlling the gap to his competitors, Toedtmann was a man on a mission and drove a flawless race with no incidents. Tone to tone, Toedtmann never relenquished the lead and took the win in A2. Just behind Toedtmann, the battle was raging between Gray, Apolaro, and Tosolini. The three drivers would swap postions throughout the race, but ultimately it was Gray finishing 2nd and A1 winner, Apolaro in 3rd.

1/8th Open saw class TQ DJ Apolaro deliver a perfect drive from tone to tone. A master at controlling the gap, Apolaro only pushed when he needed and drove cautiously to protect his lead and his car. Closing in on the last few laps, bump up superstar and Capricorn's own Chris Tosolini put on a great charge to close the gap down to a second, but while on the edge, Tosolini was unable to hold the pace and lost crititcal time navagating through traffic. Tosolini would finish 2nd and Shepherd's Marco Vanni in 3rd for A2.

In the 200mm Electric class, it was Shepherd's Armin Weihart taking the win, but was allowed to run his 1/8th scale electic car to help promote the class here at the US World Nitro Cup. Eddie Colo would finish 2nd and Eric Diaz 3rd for the open electric class.
