Honigl won XRAY debut in Czech Republic

XRAY dominated at Mibosport Cup R3

The 3rd round of the most popular series in the Czech Republic & first race of the New Year took place last weekend in Hrotovice. On Friday practice both my XB2 and XB4 2016 felt good and we made only few small changes on both cars.

In both 2wd&4wd qualifications it was every time fight between Ales Bayer, Hupo Honigl & me. After some pretty close runs Ales managed to take TQ in both 2wd and 4wd buggy! In 2wd buggy Hupo started 2nd and I was 3rd and in 4wd it was vice versa (me – 2nd and Hupo - 3rd).

Finals were even closer than qualifications with TOP 3 getting away from the rest of the field every time. In 2wd my XB2 finished overall 3rd (2nd, 3rd and 3rd) after small mistakes in each run. Teammates Hupo and Ales finished 1st&2nd, making TOP 3 for XRAY! In 4wd finals my Orion powered XB4 2016 was absolutely amazing and managed to win first run, however then I faced some really bad luck in both A2&A3 and finished overall 2nd + set the fastest lap of the race. Hupo managed to take the win and Ales finished 3rd, locking also 4wd podium for XRAY!

Team XRAY dominated also in on-road classes. In modified class Kuba Simurda won the race. Third on podium was another XRAY driver Jirka Vysin.

In stock class it was again full podium for XRAY as Jurgen Horn finished first in front of Tom Krägefski and Oliver Havranek.

In 1/12 Igor Liptak with his X12 finished 3rd.

Overall it was a great way to start 2016, thanks a lot to Michal Bok for organising such a great race! Congratulations to Hupo for taking double win in his first race with the new cars! In the end I want to say big thanks to my parents and all my sponsors for their support!
