Race #3 of the Island Nitro Series put on by the Jamrock Radio Control Car Club on January 10, was such an exciting race event. Tremendous skills and strategies was on display as this 5 race series comes closer to the end.

The series has become more intense and interested as new faces occupies the first position on the podium.

The classes in the series are 1:10 Sedan, 1:8 GT and 1:8 Open. The results are as follows;

Sedan Class

  1. Sailsman
  2. Denise Clark
  3. Izette McCalla

Top Qualifier - Denise Clarke

Sailsman was able to carry home the winnings with a 2 lap lead over Clarke. It was however some really good driving skills displayed by Clarke to have comeback from 8 laps down after suffering from a stripped gear.

1:8 GT Class

  1. Marc Yap
  2. Jason Givans

Top Qualifier - Marc Yap

Yap started out in front and held on to the position through race. Givans pushed hard and began to gain on Yap but also suffered a stripped gear and could not recover.

1:8 Open Class

  1. Franklin Thomas
  2. Raffique Golaub
  3. Andre Blain 

Top Qualifier - Franklin Thomas

Thomas' strategy gave him control very early into the race. He was able to maintain a pace that kept Golaub at a safe distance behind. While Golaub made several attempts to make a comeback, the consistency in Thomas' driving and strategies allowed him a comfortable win.
