Dellinger and Harrison won E-classes at Flowood RC January Jam

The annual January Jam race is back at Flowood RC. JConcepts team driver Martin Harrison sends us this report…

“My first race of the year was the January Jam held this past weekend in Flowood Mississippi. This race has always been a great one to attend because it has attracted some great talent from other states. We had 200 entries which made for a great action packed weekend of racing.

Friday’s practice I focused on my E-Buggy making sure my setup would be good for the high traction conditions. I then moved my focus to E-Truggy. This would present a bigger challenge as the truggy was new.

Qualifying would be 3 rounds of qualapoints. In E-Buggy I would end up qualifying 3rd and 2nd in E-Truggy.

In E-buggy A1 I had a great start and followed Jake Dillinger around the track for the entire race waiting on a mistake but it never happened. I was able to finish second in A1. In A2 I did not get the start I wanted by falling to fourth but made great work in traffic by moving back to second on lap 10. I again finished A2 in second. With Jake taking the two early wins I was forced to run A3 and needed to have a good finish. A3 was a great race battling with Kevin McCoy down to the end to take the win in A3. This would give me a 2nd place finish overall. For tires I ran blue Reflex and green Bar Codes and Dirt-Tech inserts throughout the weekend.

In E-Truggy I had a better chance of getting a clean start by qualifying 2nd on the grid behind local favorite Kevin McCoy. In A1 I was able to take a solid 1st following a mistake by Kevin. In A2 I was again able to finish in 1st place. finish behind Lutz. Going into A3 we had a three way tie for first place between myself, Ryan Lutz and Kevin McCoy. In A3 I got a great start and ran in 2nd from start to finish. With two wins, I would secure 1st place overall on the podium. I ran blue Reflex and the new Dirt-Tech inserts all weekend.”
