DNC: Maifield struck gold in round two! [VIDEO]

After taking round 1 TQ, HB's Ty Tessman put the pressure on his competitors as he only needs one more TQ round to seal the overall TQ in Truggy and start off his weekend right. Already 4 time DNC Truggy champion, Ty is well accustomed to taking truggy wins here at the DNC. The tension is high and the nerves are on overdrive... Here's the recap of the action in round 2.

Coming out swinging was HB's Ty Tessman who put down a blazing 39 second first lap, but TLR's Ryan Maifield and AE's Ryan Cavalieri answered back making it an exciting 4 way battle that included last year's defending truggy champion, HB's David Ronnefalk. The fast four battled for the entire 7 minutes trading tenths with Maifield leading the way. Crossing the line and finishing 1.5 seconds ahead of Ronnefalk with a 11 lap 7:14.39. On the last lap, Cavalieri would pass Tessman on the clock to take 3rd with a 11 lap 7:16.39 while Tessman had a few issues on the final laps. 

A man on a mission, TLR's Ryan Maifield showed his true speed by cementing a relatively uncontested win in round 2 of the Pro E-Buggy class. With a slight, but comfortable 2 seconds gap ahead of his competition, Maifield ran a faster round 2 time of 11 lap 7:23.34 and led from tone to tone. Giving it his all till the very end, HB's Ty Tessman was closing the margin, but ran out of time. AE's Ryan Cavalieri improved upon his round 1 time and postion with a solid 3rd place finish with a 11 lap 7:26.03.
