Wang won SRGP opener in Shanghai

T4 podium finish at 2016 Shanghai SRGP Opening Round Race

Our XRAY team driver “Jimmy Qian” joined the 1/10 Electric Class with T4 2016 at Shanghai JunTi TRS track. He successfully got the 2nd Runner-up in the A main Final.

Many famous drivers joined the opening round of SRGP 2016 like JJ Wang, Rocket Zhang, Wang Hai Feng, etc. Especially, there were 2 young kids, Jery Dai and Nicholas Xu, who also had good performance. The winter season is almost gone, they became more stable, drove faster, made less mistakes.

After 3 rounds preliminary heats, JJ got TQ winning by 6 seconds over the second place driver. Concerning the 2nd place to the 6th place, all drivers were 1 second apart only. It was a very keen competition, the level of all drivers was very close and everyone had to work hard.

Final round 1, JJ led the race and Rocket followed him. Jerry kept the position from the start to the end.

Final round 2 was the same for JJ leading the race from start to finish, but there was very hard fight for 2nd position, Nicholas with his T4 drove in front of me for more than 3 mins, till I grasped a chance to pass him at the end of straight.

Final round 3, me and Rocket fought for 2nd place overall. Rocket made a mistake in the first corner and broke his car. Although Rocket was out, Jimmy failed to get more out of this advantage in this round.
