ROAR NATS: Van Dalen, Lutz and Bornhorst won Pit Stop Challenge [VIDEO]

Shortly after the first round of qualifying completed on Friday, ROAR organized its annual Pit Stop Challenge with all racers invited to compete. Each driver was given a small amount of fuel to drive a small loop backward down the front straightaway, then barrel into pit lane, receive a full tank of fuel, and exit. The pit stops were timed using transponder loops buried at the beginning and end of pit lane, and recorded using the official LiveTime Scoring Engine computer.

A few of the teams that competed in the pit stop challenge were disqualified after it was deemed that they had not received enough fuel. After the competition was complete, the Tekno RC team of driver Seth Van Dalen and his crew, Joe Bornhorst and Ryan Lutz, took home the trophy.
