Team Losi Racing driver Ryan Maifield led every lap on his way to the 2016 ROAR Fuel Off-Road Truck National Championship, but it wasn't easy. He withstood pressure throughout the race from former teammate Spencer Rivkin before the latter's truck flamed out in the back of the track, leaving Maifield to drive off to his fourth Truck class title - moving himself out of a tie with Ty Tessmann for the most wins ever. Tessmann, meanwhile, suffered from two flameouts after pit stops and had to cover to finish third behind Ryan Lutz.
The drama didn't stop after the finish tone, though. After the race, Ryan Lutz's Tekno truck was found to be underweight in post-race tech inspection, and he was disqualified. Ryan Cavalieri and Ty Tessmann were promoted to the second and third place positions on the podium.
