Yeung won XMG track opening race

Jonathan Yeung WINS in XMG 1/8 EP Buggy Opening Race 23-April-2017

This is the Opening Race of XMG track since they open the dirt track early this year. XMG is located in Dongguan, Southern part of China, about 80km away from Hong Kong border. Racers from South China regions, Taiwan, Macau as well as Hong Kong racers participate in this race. This race was conducted under rain, sunshine and muddy conditions. This race not only to test the driver skill but adaptability to race track rapid conditions change.

Jonathan Yeung and his father Carson Yeung from Hong Kong driving Tekno EB48.4 to compete in 1:8 EP Buggy class, again Jonathan demonstrate his speed and consistency to set the fastest qualify round and claimed the overall TQ title. In Qualify round the track conditions was muddy due to rain on 22-April night, and then the track started to dry up under sunshine before noon.

Main finals was started at afternoon, at that time weather went back to cloudy and small rain started right before A main final Leg 1. The A Main Leg 1 was finished and Jonathan finished in #1 while his dad Carson finished in #2. When A Main Leg 2 about to start, heavy rain begin and race official decided to suspend the race and see if weather conditions will improve and allow to race. After further review on weather conditions, race official decided to cancel the remaining A Main finals Leg 2 & Leg 3 races and use Leg 1 result as final ranking.
