Race Report from Carson Yeung:

This time ASIA FEVER nitro off-road race held at Orange RC Circuit in Changhua County, Taiwan. This track is completely new layout and just release for practice one day before race start. The track size is about 55m x 35m with length of 370m. Racers from South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong as well as Taiwan racers participate in this race with 120 plus entries in both Buggy and Truggy classes. Overseas racers contributed 30% of entries.

Tekno team driver Jonathan Yeung from Hong Kong driving NT48.3 & NB48.4 to compete in nitro Truggy and Buggy classes respectively. Many national Champions/A-main finalist competing in this race and make this competition as one of the most demanding race in Asia.

In nitro Truggy class, after 5 qualify rounds, Jonathan enter A-Main final in 2nd place. A-Main final was 30min duration, Jonathan start to take the lead from 13th lap but 2 laps later his car flamed out due to fuel consumption more than expected under intense competition. This cost him around 40sec and his position dropped from 1st to 7th. With strong racing spirit, Jonathan keep his pace and patient and passing car-by-car and get back to 2nd place after 35th laps. After several laps of close battle with leading car (Scott Yang, TWN), on 41st lap (4 laps to go), Jonathan took the lead and keep the leading position and finish the race. This result in his first win in ASIA FEVER nitro off-road race in Truggy class.
