Race Report from Carson Yeung:

This is the first race of this year at XMG track in 2018. XMG track is located in Dongguan, Southern part of China, about 90km away from Hong Kong border.  Racers from mainland China, Taiwan, Macau as well as Hong Kong racers participate in this race. This dirt track with added difficultly by mother natural this time, very cold and windy race day test all drivers driving/tuning skills and equipments under tough conditions.

Jonathan Yeung and his dad Carson from Hong Kong driving TEKNO NB48.4  (Jonathan) and TEKNO NT48.3 (Carson) to compete in Nitro Buggy class and Nitro Truggy class respectively. Both cars powered by ALPHA DRAGON IV engine with latest 4 shoes clutch systems.

In nitro Buggy class A-Main final,  Jonathan start at 2nd place and keep pushing pressure to the leading car (Hu), 2 laps later the leading car was flipped due to wheel touching the barrier pipe. Jonathan took the chance and took the lead while Hu remain at 2nd place after crash and trying to caught up. Once Jonathan clear the car cluster, he start to drive at his own rhythm and keep extending the lead with very consistence drive. After 10min race, he lapped the 2nd position car by one whole lap. The drama started at 12min race, the lap counting computer stop working and race was suspended. After computer fixed, race organizer decided to resume the race and going for another 25min race (Original race duration was 45min) to decide the overall ranking. Once again, Jonathan keep his speed and consistency and finish in 1st place and finished 71 laps, 2nd place finished 68 laps and 3rd place finished 66 laps based on combined results.

In nitro Truggy class, Carson wins TQ and finished in A2.
