MWNS Race Report:
 
The 2012 Midwest Nitro Series Finals were held at Leisure hours Raceway in Joliet IL on Oct 6th. With temps in the 50's the racers did not disappoint. Some of the fastest guys showed up as always.

First off the MWNS crew wants to give a HUGE shout out to ALL of the racers that showed up and supported the series this year making it one of the biggest series in the Midwest for nitro racing as well as all of the great sponsors, please check out their products! In PRO 2WD SC it would be Tim McNamara starting in the TQ spot with Mike Kochanski starting 2nd and Hot Bodies driver Ryan Klemme starting off in 3rd running a new truck, with local driver Mike Kochanski taking the Win with Tim McNamara taking 2nd and Ryan Klemme taking the last spot on the Podium in 3rd. after the final points for the series Tim McNamara would be the Champion followed by Ryan Klemme and in 3rd place would be Ryans team mate Dave Nichols.

In PRO 4WD SC the man to beat would be Allan Richards taking all three rounds of qualifying with his team mate Jim Andersen starting off the A-Main in 2nd and Rod Morney starting the grid in 3rd. with the top 3 finishing the Main just the way they started it with a close race at the finish line between Jim and Rod with Jim Andersen getting the 2nd place spot over Rod Morney by less then 2 seconds! After all the points were added up for the series the top three would be Allan Richards in 1st Jim Andersen in 2nd and Rod Morney in 3rd place.

For Elec. 8th Scale Buggy it would be Michael Paige setting TQ in the first 2 rounds sitting the 3rd round out with Britten Curry taking the 3rd round putting him 2nd on the pole for the A-Main and Brad Piersall starting 3rd. in the A-Main it would be all Michael Paige with the AE buggy taking the win over Britten Curry who took 2nd less then 2 seconds over 3rd place Brad Piersall. With the points added up it would be Michael Paige crowned the Champion with Brad Piersall getting 2nd and Birtten Curry taking 3rd.

Elec. 8th Scale Truggy Brad Piersall would take TQ in the first 2 rounds giving him the overall TQ for the A-Main and Rick Seffrood starting in 2nd and Mike Aschliman starting in 3rd place, Brad Piersall never looked back once the tone sounded and won, with Mike Aschliman taking 2nd and Matt Byrd getting the last spot on the podium. Once the points were all added up the Champion would be Brad Piersall, and Mike Ashliman taking 2nd with Matt Byrd getting 3rd.

In the Int. 8th Scale buggy class it was Chris Eckelberg getting the TQ followed by Matt Lust and Jason Hack. In the Main it would be all Matt Lust putting almost 2 laps on 2nd place Jason Hack who beat out Chris Ekelberg by only 2 seconds after the 20 minute main. With the points all added up it would be Barry Ritchie crowned the Champion over Matt Lust in 2nd and Chris Ekelberg in 3rd.

Now for Int. 8th Scale Truggy Chris Aschliman would be the man to beat in the A-Main with Matt Lust starting in 2nd and Jason Elliot starting in 3rd, they would finish where the started when the tone sounded, Chris Aschliman taking the win followed by Matt Lust and Jason Elliot in 3rd. now for the points totals it would be Chris Aschliman taking 1st with Matt Lust in 2nd and Jason Hack in 3rd.

In Pro Buggy it would be all Michael Paige with his AE buggy taking TQ in the 1st 2 rounds and Collin Weatherholt with his Losi in 2nd and Sonny O with his Losi starting off in 3rd. in the Main Michael Paige never looked back but Sonny O was closing in on him every lap in the last couple minutes of the race but with a couple bobbles from Sonny O he just could not close the deal finishing in 2nd place ahead of young gun Collin Weatherholt. After all the points were added up the 2012 MWNS Pro Buggy Champion would be Michael Paige, with Kevin Tomsovic taking 2nd, and Sonny O finishing in 3rd!

Now for the Pro Truggy class Sonny O was the man to beat putting his Losi in the TQ spot with Purple Death Lotus starting in 2nd and Jeremy Whiting with his Serpent starting in 3rd on the grid. Purple Death Lotus took the win just 3 seconds ahead of Jeremy Whiting and Jon Osmenga taking 3rd place. Now for the Pro Truggy Points added up it would be Michael Paige being crowned the 2012 Pro Truggy MWNS Champion with Jeremy Whiting taking 2nd, and Purple Death Lotus finishing in 3rd.
