11-year old Jason Hills takes Novak to a triple victory at the 80/35 Spring Classic

 

April 13-14 saw the 2013, 2nd Annual Spring Classic at the 80/35 Raceway in Grimes, Iowa. 109 entries made of the areas fastest drivers were ready to throw down. The Track: Medium sized, the 36×75 track is a high traction mixture of clay and black dirt. Factory Team Novak driver, 11 year old Jason Hills was in attendance competing in the Pro4 SCT, Open 4wd Buggy and 1/8 E-Buggy.

  

3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday would see Jason able to, TQ Pro4 SCT, Qualify 4th for Mod 4x4 buggy, and 3rd for 8th E-Buggy. Sunday was allTriple A mains. 4x4 SCT: Jason took the win in A1 and A2 with his Novak Pulse/Ballistic powered Team Associated 4x4SC10. After some tire grooming for Jason’s Novak powered Team Associated B8.2e buggy, he was able to take the early lead and win both A1 and A2 to secure the overall win for 1/8th Ebuggy as well! Open 4wd Buggy saw Jason work his way from 4th to 2nd with his Novak Pulse/Ballistic powered Team Associated B44.2. A couple minor bobbles would keep him from catching first spot. Jason did clock in with the fastest lap times. A2 saw Jason able to work his way to 1st and hold it till the end setting up for an epic A3 battle. Jason was clearly determined to take the win in A3. Jason’s B44.2 was on rails, he worked from 4th to the lead early and never looked back taking the overall win!
 
The incredible power of the new Novak Pulse and Activ8 speed controllers allowed Jason to dominate the competition this weekend in Grimes. Winning all 4wd classes at this event was a thrill for Jason and winning them all Powered by Novak was even better! Novak or Nothing.
