Race Report by Pro-Line Racing:

Pro-Line Driver Jörn Neumann took the TQ and win in the 4WD class at the 2014 Offroad Wars held at Maritime Raceway this past weekend.

The crew prepared a challenging layout with many different surfaces. Saturday was 2WD and on Sunday 4WD action.
Saturday started with one Round of practice followed by qualifying with 4Rounds. Due the many different surfaces Jörn had to adjust his regular carpet setup a little bit, but it was going better and better with each round.

It was a very close battle between Ellis Stafford and Jörn Neumann. Jörn started 2nd for the finals. A1 was going good until Jörn had some issues with lapped traffic, and he ultimately finished 3rd. A2 was much better and Jörn followed Ellis. The whole race super close, but the track layout made it impossible to make a clean pass, causing Jörn to take a solid 2nd place. During the A3 round Jörn came together with Ellis on the first corner which moved him down to 4th position. He quickly made his way back to the front guys, but a marshal stepped on his car as he wanted to help another car. Unluckily a DNF for this Round. In the end after unlucky finals 3rd place overall.

On Sunday it was a new game! Jörn had more track time from 2WD and his 4WD with the new Pro-Line prototype wing was on rails from the first practice run. He TQ’ed every Round of qualifying to secure the TQ position for the finals. A1 was a start/finish victory with a good break to 2nd place. A2 was going perfect with a 10 second gap until 2 laps before the end a car flew on the straight away and Jörn hit it with full speed, which resulted in a broken arm and shock cap. He still tried to finish the race, but on the last corner Ellis was able to get by.

As A3 was quickly up again, Jörn fixed the car to get it done in the final. He checked out and cruised to the overall victory in A3.
A big thank you again to the Maritime Raceway crew for hosting another great event.
