Dustin Evans and Dave Duncan win at the Short Course Showdown

  

Race 2 of the Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour hosted by RC Excitement in Fitchburg, MA was held March 21-23. With a full day of practice on Friday, the layout was fast and fun with lots of places to pass, making for a great racing weekend. The JConcepts team drivers were able to get the track down and their cars set up and were ready for qualifying.

The track opened at 7am on Saturday with 1 hour of open practice. After a quick drivers meeting racing kicked off at 9am. After round 1 was complete JConcepts was sitting TQ in 4 classes. Dustin Evans TQ’d Mod 2wd Buggy with his JConcepts equipped TLR 22 2.0 Mid Motor running Blue Dirt Webs front and rear. Dustin also TQ’d 4wd Buggy on Blue Dirt Webs and Mod 2wd Short Course running Green Pressure Points front and rear. Dave Duncan TQ’d stock 2wd buggy with his JConcepts equipped Associated B5M running Blue Dirt Webs.

After two more rounds of qualifying on Saturday, the same Team drivers still held their TQ spots.

Sunday morning started with open practice from 7am to 7:45am with a final round of qualifying hitting the track at 8am. When all the dust settled Dustin and Dave still had the TQ in the same four classes. Dustin and Dave had their mains in control taking all 4 wins! In the A mains there were several other JConcepts drivers taking podium finishes including Steve Jeancharles taking second in 2wd Stock Buggy. Alex Kosciuszek took second in the 4wd Buggy Class with teammate Mike Wilder taking 3rd, Mike also took the third spot in 2wd Mod Buggy.
