Race Report by X Factory:
The 11th Annual Winter Storm Championships at Dirt Heaven Hobbies near Green Bay Wisc. attracted a 120-strong entry on the weekend of March 22nd. One of the smaller indoor tracks in the U.S., a great fast but technical layout greeted the racers. Even with the small track, there were good lanes for passing and the racing was intense.
When the dust settled from 2WD qualifying, X Factory’s Brad Shearer was second on the grid, but charged into the lead on lap two and was never headed. LiveRC founder Brandon Rhode made a late race charge, but Shearer took a four second win with his X – 6 Cubed. Brad commented, “My Cubed was dialed, very easy to drive, and the AKA Clay Typos were the ticket!”
In 4WD, Shearer TQed both qualifiers and took the win.
