Race Report by Shepherd Racing:
Last weekend the first round of the South German Championship took place at the fast track of Bamberg. Shepherd driver Maxi Vogl showed a great performance all weekend with his Velox V8 "EC" / Sonic X.21-FT combo.
In qualifying he took the TQ 4.4 seconds in front of Armin Baier followed by Oliver Lembeck another 0.7 seconds down. Due to bad weather the final was shortened to 20 minutes. The crowd saw a clean start at the front of the grid and Maxi immediatelly pulled away taking control of the race. Lap by lap he increased the gap on the rest of the field and crossed the finishing line 2 laps in front of Oliver Lembeck with Armin Baier completing the podium another lap down.
