Press release from Tekno RC:

Here's a race report from Tekno RC driver Randy Cathcart. He just keeps on winning with his Tekno RC vehicles.

Had a great time racing the Michigan State Series Rd 4 held at Stateline RC. With 179 entries there was plenty of fast competition from all manufacturers in both SC 4x4 and 1/8th eBuggy. After the first round of qualifying, Mother Nature tried to spoil the day. But after a 2.5 hour delay the last clouds left and the track dried up quickly. It was still a little wet in spots and that made for a heck of a mess to clean up but at least we were racing again. With the delay they decided to shorten the program to just 2 rounds of qualifying. That put me TQ in SC4x4 and 2nd in eBuggy behind TLR's Collin Weatherholt heading into the mains. After the long delay and not much traffic on the track it was looking pretty fast with a clean groove and low dust so i decided on a tire I have never ran on this track, I went to a AKA Handlebar and was hoping for the best. I knew right away in the warm up laps It was a good choice and really complimented the setup on my EB48.2. At the start I was all over Collin and was looking for an opening and surprisingly he made a small bobble that I immediately capitalized on. I put my head down and made a run for it putting in my best laps of the day. My Tekno buggy was real easy to drive in the rough choppy sections and super fast on the smooth stuff. At the end of the 10 minute main I was 8 seconds up and brought it in for the win. In the Pro4 class I had made 2 TQ runs and was very confident in my SCT410 on the big jumps and choppy track conditions. At the start of the A main I got away clean and never looked back putting in a clean run winning by nearly a lap. My Tekno EB48.2 and SCT410 were super easy to drive and held up perfectly in the dirty rough conditions.
