XB8 wins Portuguese off-road championship R4
Race report by Cesar and Bruno Coelho
Despite the threat of rain last weekend the Portuguese off-road championship R4 took place in fantastic track Evora.
This track was well known for us and because we had enough time after we checked our car, we decided to support our teammates. On Sunday the track was wet but because of 26 degrees water on it dried quickly. Miguel Matias and Bruno won their semifinals by a wide margin so it looked to be a great battle between them. In final Bruno took the lead from the start and gained sufficient lead. Then came a small problem with engine so Matias was able to go to first position. But it didn’t take long for Bruno to fight back for first position and resumed with his great race and again gained sufficient distance to win another race. His car showed great reliability and in our opinion it is a car with an excellent basis and future.
