Gunther Van Staey takes win at Belgian GP at Model Race Genk.
Repeating his top performance from the Dutch 1/8th national race ran 4 weeks ago at the nice track of Genk, Gunther Van Staey outclassed his Belgian fellow drivers at the Belgian Grand Price by taking both the pole and the win. The only driver whose lap times where close to the quick Belgian Serpent driver, was the German Mugen driver Tobias Hepp. Tobias qualified to start the final in 2nd position, which he held to around half of the final when his engine failed. This allowed Serpent driver Nico Vanwynckel, in 3rd at the start, to move up to 2nd, being followed by Tim Vogels, 4th in qualification, to complete the podium.
