XB4 wins Danish national R4

The Danish national Round 4 of 1:10 Electric buggy was held in Viborg Rc Racing, the weather forecast was not so good and in the morning the track was dry into the second Qualy where the rain came. I arrived to the track Saturday morning with Niklas Engholm, we have absolutely no practice at this track, but our Team buddy Rene Jepsen, had tested some things on the Friday. I got some feedback and Rene and I find a good setup and was ready to the race should start.

First qualy was an good start for the XRAY Team, and the Track was still dry. I made some mistakes because of the no practice on the track but with a bit of bubbles i made it to the second position. Rene made it to the fourth also with mistakes and Niklas made it to the Six position.

Second qualy, there have been a lot of rain and we decided to go on rain ballistic buggy tires, do some small adjustments on the cars. My car was very good and almost as fast as in the dry conditions! I was leading the qualy but on last lap i shorten the double double and got on the roof for 6 seconds, Jesper won also this round with 3 seconds in front of me in second. That meant that Jesper was in TQ, but i knew my car was fast and i was only on used tires, so not that much grip. Rene and Niklas was not driving because of heavy rain that i could have.

Third qualy, the rain stopped for a while and some sun came to the track, track was still wet, i was in the lead, but make some mistakes because i have made some setup changes to the car. Jesper won this round with Rene Jepsen in second and me in Third. Good job by Rene so he took the 3 on the grid to the finals, and Niklas Engholm took 7 on the grid.

First Final:

Jesper and I took the start with Rene 10 meters after. I was on fully pressure on Jesper, and i was all over him, because i knew that my car was faster. Jesper blocked the best he could do, and some very nice and close racing was on.

I over took Jesper after the straight, but after the double double Jesper jumped long and jumped on my inside. And was in the lead agian. The Nice and fair racing continued and i was on the inside and outside in every corner. I jumped long after the straight and landed on Jespers roof, i waitet, but the Next corner Jesper rolled over, and i was in the lead and my lead got bigger, now Rene was still in 3rd and was very fast and not long from Jesper.

I Took the win in front of Jesper and Rene.

Second Final:

Jesper, me and Frederik broke away from the rest of the field, some close racing again, but Jesper spun out on the small straight, and got the lead, some laps after some meters in the back of me, Frederik crashed out of the track, and Jesper goes by again. I Had a Big lead, and Jesper was trying to fight his way back, but i made the fastest lap time of the race: 19,4 and my car was perfect! Rene had fought his way back in the 3rd position. I Took the overall win with the second final win in front of Jesper and Rene.

Third Final:

I was not driving, and Jesper Took and easy big win, because Rene and Frederik came together early in this race. And in the middle of the race it was Niklas Engholm who was in second, but he made a mistake and dropped Down to fourth position, Rene took second in this final to secure the third place on podium behind Jesper in the second place.
